Owabi Wildlife Sanctuary | About Ghana

The sanctuary covers an area of 13km square, located on an old water reservoir, which attracts and supports different waterfowl species, both migrant and non-migrant. The surrounding forest also serves as a haven for different bird species among them are parrots, turacos, and hornbills. The forest also is a home to a number of primates and antelopes. Black duikers are very common in this sanctuary. Bird watchers and primate lovers cannot miss this wonderful nature reserve.
